Teddi Mellencamp Announces Her Cancer Is Stage 4
April 2: Good thing diamonds don't crack under pressure. Diagnosed with multiple brain tumors in February that spread to her lungs, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp confirmed her cancer had progressed to the most advanced stage.
"I gotta tell you, some days I feel really, really strong and some days I feel really, really sad and alone," she detailed in an Instagram Stories video. "And I think that’s a normal part of what any of us are going through, and that’s okay. Stage 4 cancer can be scary."
Six months later, she delivered a more reassuring update, revealing on the Oct. 3 episode of her Two T's in a Pod podcast, "I had my immunotherapy yesterday and I did my scans and at this point there is no detectable cancer."

April 10: Former Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane revealed the doctor had become the patient, telling People he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
"I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working," the actor detailed, "and am looking forward to returning to the set of Euphoria next week."

Though she acknowledged in an Instagram Stories post the next day that she and her father "have had our challenges," she noted, "in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. I'm at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing."

May 17: Among the truths Mariska Hargitay learned while filming My Mom Jayne was that her late dad Mickey Hargitay, who raised her after mom Jayne Mansfield died in a 1967 car accident, wasn't actually her father.

May 18: Tragedy struck for TikToker Emilie Kiser when her 3-year-old son Trigg died six days after he was rescued from a pool in their Arizona backyard. The Chandler Police Department initially recommended a Class 4 felony charge of child abuse against Brady Kiser—who was watching both the toddler and his then-2-month-old brother Theodore—but their investigation showed there wasn't enough evidence.
As for the social media influencer, she's found support in a seemingly hopeless place. "I appreciate so many of you sharing your similar experiences and your own stories of how you have dealt with grief and loss," she shared in a September Instagram Stories post. "The internet can be such a dark place, and in moments like this, I am reminded how much good there can be in the support and community that we can all give each other."
Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley Released From Prison
May 28: Former Chrisley Knows Best pair Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley enjoyed quite the homecoming in Tennessee after serving just two years of their respective 10- and seven-year prison sentences for wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States.
After receiving pardons from President Trump, Todd was released from prison in Florida while Julie walked away from the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
And Todd knows the best part of life after lockdown is "coming home to your people, to your surroundings," as he put it to E! News in August. "But there is that adjustment period because you went from your whole life doing things one way to the last 28 months having to do someone else's way."

May 28: Hailey Bieber's, uh, rhode to billionaire status involved selling rhode, the skincare brand she founded in 2022 to e.l.f. Beauty for a cool $1 billion. And just as she is with her visage, the model—who remained Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation at rhode—intends to be savvy about her payday.
"I want to preserve that for my son's future," she told WSJ. Magazine in October of her and Justin Bieber's toddler Jack Blues. "It's an amount of money that I have not dealt with before, so I just want to be smart with it."

Food Network’s Anne Burrell Dies by Suicide
June 17: After Anne Burrell's family confirmed reports that she'd died in her New York City home, her Food Network costars served up a series of heartfelt tributes.
"I’m heartbroken by the loss of my dear friend, Chef Anne Burrell," Aarón Sanchez wrote on his Instagram. "Her spirit, her fire, her talent, her leadership, her laugh—unforgettable. I’ll carry her memory with me always."
Echoed Top Chef alum Carla Hall, "Anne was an incredible cook & teacher. FIERCE! She will be missed."
In late July, the New York City medical examiner's office confirmed to NBC News that she had died by suicide, attributing her cause of death to a drug overdose.
